Story

Ariana discovered macrame in 2019. Since then, she has developed her own macrame style. Originally, macrame became popular in the ’60s and has since been picked up by fiber artists everywhere.

Materials

Being a mixed media artist means that Ariana uses many materials in her work. While macrame was traditionally made with jute cord, Ariana finds unique fibers such as organic cotton, recycled sari silk, wool, and quilt scraps to use in her pieces.

Process

Ariana taught herself five single knots. From there, she creates all her macrame pieces. Getting lost in the relaxation of patterns and fiber art. Every piece Ariana makes is completely, and beautifully unique.
